I’m excited to announce my first NYC embroidery workshop in collaboration with Sad Girls Club on October 3rd! Sad Girls Club is a WOC driven online platform and in real life community created to bring girls together who are battling mental illness. Workshop tickets include a discussion on how hobbies contribute to mental wellness, an intimate introductory embroidery course led by me, your very own take-home embroidery kit, and refreshments. Hope to see you there!

Happy Summer Solstice 🌞 Today I launched the OPK Studio Shop with over 25 pieces of fiber art for sale! I hope to launch collections of work on a regular basis and will announce shop updates on Instagram. 🎉

Happy Black History month! I’ve been celebrating Black artists I admire by sharing their work on my Instagram stories and inviting people to join in. I draw so much inspiration and strength from the Black artists in my own family, so I’ve decided to dedicate the next month to highlighting black excellence in the arts.

I was tasked with branding Fact Magazine’s 2018 end of year lists again this year! I’m grateful for the trust and freedom their editorial team always gives me and I had a lot of fun creating this colorful series.

My largest fiber art piece to date is included in a group show titled “Thinking about the future...,” at 273 Bleecker St. in New York City. Gallery hours are Wednesday – Sunday 12–6 PM. The opening reception is August 17 at 6 PM.
