I’m excited to announce my first NYC embroidery workshop in collaboration with Sad Girls Club on October 3rd! Sad Girls Club is a WOC driven online platform and in real life community created to bring girls together who are battling mental illness. Workshop tickets include a discussion on how hobbies contribute to mental wellness, an intimate introductory embroidery course led by me, your very own take-home embroidery kit, and refreshments. Hope to see you there!

I was featured in the Boston Globe today! You can check out the online interview here.
“Olivea Kelly (@opk.studio) has a thing for string. On her Instagram, the 26-year-old creative posts colorful fiber art. She chatted with the Globe about her process, the artists who inspire her, and what it’s like working alongside a cat that loves yarn as much as she does.”

Happy Black History month! I’ve been celebrating Black artists I admire by sharing their work on my Instagram stories and inviting people to join in. I draw so much inspiration and strength from the Black artists in my own family, so I’ve decided to dedicate the next month to highlighting black excellence in the arts.
